Virginia Tile Company is currently looking for a highly motivated and career oriented individual to join our team as a Showroom Manager in our Farmington Hills branch in Michigan.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Manage showroom operational activities and performance of staff to include annual performance appraisals; Maintain showroom merchandising displays and appearance; Manage proper levels of current sales tools including literature, price lists, samples, display boards, architectural binders and supplies; Maintain quality customer service; Manage and motivate design staff to perform at high levels; Maximize the selling process; Assist in the recruiting and selection process of the design staff; Coordinate schedules and daily work on the selling floor; Exercise creativity in both design and problem solving.
Requirements include: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in design; 4 years experience in retail sales, interior design or architectural design; and 2 years of management experience.
The ideal candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills; the ability to lead staff to achieve maximum results while maintaining a positive work environment; strong organizational skills; computer skills to include MS Office and Excel; the ability to prioritize and multitask; and the ability to effectively use office equipment.
